Rift on the m11X - adjust nVidia settings?

Do any of you play Rift on your M11x?

I'm getting disappointing frame rates in the game, topping out at about 20fps, but averaging 11-18fps. I don't have it on ultra settings, and all the settings that warn me of an extreme GPU or CPU intensive usage, I have completely turned off.

I'm afraid I don't quite understand the relationship between the Intel HD graphics (which I see in my system tray) and my graphics card. Regardless, I went into my nVidia settings and went through the process of manually setting my 3D settings to "High Performance NVIDIA processor".

Not only did not seem to make a difference, I think it may have slowed things down a bit.

Is there anything in the nVidia control panel I need to mess with? Does anyone have any settings outside of the game I need to adjust?

Thanks very much in advance for any help.

Ok I just changed my settings to "low quality render" and my framerate hasn't really changed.

There must be something wrong.

i play rift and its the same....

i normaly use the low quality render, but even when im on a rift or world event i get 7 FPS, and when im alone, w/o any rift near i get 30fps maximum with everything low exept the textures details, spell details, view and object distance.

it is really disappointing and dont know how to fix it, i have the game on the whitelist and custom settings for preformance and nothing changes

What driver though? There are problems with most games 260.99 and above. And some even with 260.99. Try the Dell ones. And if you are using Dell ones I am not sure.

there is another topic that says that 266.58 runs better than the 260.99 and the dell ones are 257.30

edit: now im trying to play it with 160mhz OC from the bios and i cant :S it just close, ill try with another oc

This is most disturbing, I was thinking of trying the game out. LOTRO runs like a champ on ultra (med shadows) 1600x900. I am running stock dell drivers for the R2. I'll have to keep on eye on this to make sure that it's not something silly that is going on with the drivers. Best of luck!

I am running Rift on my M11x R2 at 30-40fps... all the time.

I am not using the low quality renderer, and i run the graphics at LOW...

I use 266.58, latest whql drivers fron nvidia, and i am running Rift on the high performance video adapter (nvidia) according to optimus.

Hope it helps
