Move music files from itunes to windows media player

I have over 2000 cds in itunes and would like to copy them to windows media player with as few hastles as possible. Is this possible or am I whistling in the wind. Thanks for all the help in advance.

Since there is no correct answer, maybe any answer will do. Your choice.

But said content is usually not "in" iTunes or WMP but is organized by such apps. This means that your playlists may be what you want to move.

I'll decline any direct incorrect answer but wonder if you researched this on google.
