Countdown To Homefront

This game looks absolutely amazing. The long short of it is America has been invaded by an Asian force through an EMP attack. You must defend and push them back.

I have been waiting for this game for soooo long. Check out some of the gameplay videos. The countdown is on. 30 days left... Until the Homefront Invasion!

Optimizations --- Game seems GPU have and CPU lite. On my I7 it uses less than 60 percent of 2 threads of CPU and less than 10 percent of two more. (I have thread parking disabled). GPU is pegged at 100 percent the whole time.

1. Disable DOF

2. Disable Ambient Occlusion

3. Set Render Frames Ahead to 0 within Nvidia Control Panel or set Flip Queue 0 in ATI CCC

4. You can set DX9 manually in the game config file (C:UsersadminDocumentsMy GamesHOMEFRONTGCGameConfigGCengine) Search for D3D and change from TRUE to FALSE.

the story looks great and looks like it will play well (ill will be borrowing my friends steam account to play it)... but from the videos on youtube and the trailers, the mutliplayer seems like a ripoff of the BF games with some COD mixed in......BF3!!

According to this article, there will be DX11 Homefront Interview: PC Gamers Won’t Be Left Behind | GameZone.com

I can't decide if I want to buy it - I've been adding and removing it from my D2D cart for the past week! I have no interest in sp and the mp walkthroughs I've seen lead me to believe it'll lean toward CoD type gameplay with what I saw of their Perks feature. The mechanics of the AI Battle Commander and Battle Points to buy things a player needs during the battle make it a little intriguing so I haven't dismissed purchasing it.

Wow now that's what I wanted to read.(hear)

Hmmm I am pondering on what to buy this March. I think this may be it. Only thing that's keeping me from getting it is the price.

I dont know how much THQ are at our country unlike EA and valve. The main reason I buy mostly EA PC games is because of that.

I forgot

Homefront also has LAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

SOO many games! This in early March then Crysis 2 and NFS:2 Unleashed in late March plus a couple other big titles. Jeez! I need some money!

hope its a decent game - after the calamity that was black ops, I've lost all hope in the PC gaming industry except for valve, blizzard, dice...

Hopefully I can manipulate settings to hold a steady 60 fps unlike black ops that goes all over the place like a toddler learning to be toilet trained!

Im really skeptical of this game, because this is from the same developers that made Front Lines Fuel of War. And that game was beyond buggy.

read the last few paragraphs...it looks awesome, but the author confirms it's still fairly buggy

@Instant - I thought the author confirmed the previous title called "Front Lines, Fuel of war" was full of bugs. And I would agree with that statement as it gave me lots of hassle in 2007.

So lets hope this NEW title is not.

Best Wishes,
