3dmark06?

How's the battery life?

lol yeah 06, cuz I guess 11 won't work. Or so I heard, so didn't bother.

battery seems to be about same as before. I just got it yesterday so been doing more work than I normally do with benching, transfering data etc. But I had it unplugged just chillin at idle on full battery, half brightness which is what I usually roll with and it's calculated at 7:25. About the same calculation as my 320m model of last year, if anything maybe a half hour less?

That 3000 is quite the IGP. I'm genuinely surprised by what Intel was able to bring to the table.

How much did you sell your 13" for, if you don't mind me asking?

might be interesting ...

sold it for $1100 about two weeks before the release. Basically knew I would be upgrading, I expected the HD3000 in the new ones but only figured it could get better but no worse. I was surprised by the inclusion of the top dual core i7 and that's what I wanted b/c for the games I play dual core works best for me. Plus I needed the 13" form factor. But yeah I resell very often and got this sold within 3 hours off Craigslist. Only thing I did was drop in a $68 upgrade of 8GB ram. I think that helped

updated OP with WoW BH10 raid and SC2 4v4.

Thanks for posting this. What differences have you noticed in gameplay in WoW between the 2010 and 2011?

With the ssd are you getting the instant on and quick boots like the air? Thinking of getting rid of my alien ware m17x r3 for this. I miss snow leopard.

Yeah if you watch my boot video above, yeah boots are super super fast.

As for instant on I don't even know what this means, but like if I sleep my computer and open the lid back up? I'd say it loads everything up super fast. I'll have to make a video of that.

As for WoW 2010 vs 2011 I have not noticed any major differences. I am able to run with the Intel HD3000 just as well as the 320m and if not better in terms of CPU settings I can turn up ultra view distance since that's CPU based setting. I didn't do that on my 2010 to compare though.

Yes that is what I meant. Apple markets instant on as how fast the laptop wakes from sleep. Thanks.
