CF 51 operating time in BIOS

In BIOS information tab on CF 51's , is the Accumlative operating time only available on Mk3's ?

I think that only the cf-51's that have the core duo cpu are the only ones that give operating time in the bios. The single core cpu's don't give this in the bios. You do know that the core duos can be changed out to a core 2 duo cpu up to a T7600 intel. The biggest bang for the buck is probably the T7200 cpu. check out some of the FAQ's for info, it's not a difficult swap.............Driller

I have a MK2 Pentium M 1.7ghz and it shows the operating time. Its at the bottom on the main BIOS page.

Hey Driller

The CF-50 CPU fan rarely ran and of course the 28, 29 and 30's are fanless. This CF-51PFDDEM fan runs all the time and is loud as a Pentium 4 Do the core 2's cool ok?

I have a CF-51LCCDDBM BIOS: V2.50L10 It shows the operating hours in the bios of it. The operating hours show on the first page that loads of the bios.

I did the upgrade on my Mk3 and it works just fine. The first thought to check is dust. Is the air path clear? I used a brush on mine whenever I open them and it was loaded! Not only on the edge of the heat sink but the exhaust vent as well. The only other thought is the heat sink connection to the CPU.

On mine, the thermal pad had hardened and I cleaned it and used some generic thermal paste. It works just fine, I play games on it and surf, it's running most of the day and I hardly ever hear the fan running. I'll put my hand over the exhaust vent and it gets warm, never hot. But like they say, 'Your mileage will vary.'
